This role reports into the Marketing Strategy team and will provide critical support to line of business Strategy Managers and Marketing Leadership. The role is responsible for performing primary and secondary research to understand market trends and develop insights that can be used to make strategic business decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct online research and analyze secondary research reports for market trends and insights. 
  • Lead the creation of analytics models to estimate future market size, growth and share performance by product, customer segment and geography 
  • Provide market insights and marketing fact base for marketing strategy development, annual strategic marketing planning and quarterly strategic marketing planning 
  • Deliver quick yet accurate financial and/or industry analysis on potential competitive moves to address short-term potential threats or opportunities 
  • Drive collaborations with marketing effectiveness team to publish monthly market strategy updates for senior management 
  • Lead efforts to organize and maintain an easily navigated repository for the wide range of industry/competitor data sources and outside analyst reports available 
  • Retrieve and aggregate market data from multiple primary and secondary sources into a digestible and actionable format, lead standardization of all relevant market data. 
  • Provide market fact base and analytics support for strategic projects including new product development, new market entry, technology investment etc. 
  • Exercise leadership via influence by proactively bringing applicable data sources and reports to leaders and peers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics or related field 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in fast paced data driven environment 
  • Excellent analytical, data mining and project management skills 
  • Strong knowledge of data management tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL and ability to comfortably work with large datasets 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group (executives, managers and subject matter experts) 
  • Flexible, well-organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team/project task force
