Marketing Website Specialist

Position Purpose

Upholds the Credit Union’s mission of “Doing the Right Thing” by developing and executing the strategies to promote the overall image of Capital Credit Union, including digital, advertising, and budget. Primary responsibilities will support the marketing team, with the organization's online presence as a marketing team member. This individual builds, maintains pages, and optimizes using user experience and SEO best practices as a key contributor towards a unified, modern web platform that enhances the member's digital experience and should be proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and has working knowledge in building out webpages using common libraries such as Bootstrap.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day activities include web updates to reflect brand messaging, campaign themes, new products, and promotions. 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to structure and build web content by implementing strategy and execution of wireframes and redesigns focusing on mobile-first. 
  • Validate and refine concepts through usability testing and successive iterations. 
  • Identify opportunities to optimize existing live content.
  • Review Quality Assurance and Accessibility reports and maintain site quality.
  • Provide feedback and present options to support page and template improvements. Develop and maintain CMS documentation. 
  • Create, maintain, and implement source code and documentation for applications. 
  • Partner with the AVP of Marketing and Digital Marketing Specialist to manage the organization's search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, making sure web content is found by consumers looking for financial services, information, and solutions. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of digital marketing and SEO best practices, tools, and trends. 
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Capital Credit Union’s web presence for SEO/search engine marketing (SEM), landing pages, and interactive content through collaboration with the marketing team. Pull Google Analytics information and build containers in Google Tag Manager with associated tags and triggers. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all photo, video, and other media assets hosted on the website are tagged and indexed appropriately. 
  • Document of all website, architecture design, and analysis work. 
  • Troubleshoot website issues.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, and two years of experience preferred 
  • Working knowledge of CMS systems, preferably Banno, along with other digital software tools 
  • Must have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Must have Code View and Wysiwyg HTML Editor Skills 
  • Experience in activating and managing SEO strategies and digital marketing plans in support of business objectives 
  • Understanding of Bootstrap framework a plus 
  • Technical knowledge of SEO ranking factors and search engine algorithms 
  • Familiar with Siteimprove platform a plus 
  • Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision
