Barilla America, Inc. wants to recruit a Media, Advertising Production & Procurement Professional - Region Americas – within Marketing in Northbrook, IL. The individual will report to the Media, Advertising Production & Procurement Manager - Region Americas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Media Planning & Buying:

  • Media supervision and implementation of the media strategy, with the contribution of the media agency in the planning and buying activities, through the efficient and effective selection of media channels and advertising placements, in accordance with Company’s communication and marketing objectives.
  • Actively participate in / monitor on-going & post-buy media analyses to benchmark performance across campaigns
  • Development and sharing (with the rest of the Marketing; Shopper Marketing, PR teams) of know-how on new media trends.
  • Lead project management with media agency & partners – including the coordination of agency presentations, on-time / accurate delivery of media deliverables, and successful execution of added value programs (in partnership with US Marketing teams)
  • Evaluate ad hoc media proposals and develop POVs on on-going competitive and/or emerging media trends
  • Maintain detailed media flowcharts in order to assist with Global reporting and coordination

Advertising Procurement:

  • Assist in day-to-day procurement management – including Purchase Request compliance & signature coordination across Media & Adv Procurement
  • Negotiation and definition of local Agreements/contracts with Media & Creative Agencies, ADV Production Houses, Testimonials, TV networks, media Auditors, media data providers.

Advertising Production:

  • Assist in on-going project management to ensure on-time production and delivery of ADV assets in accordance with media live dates
  • Function as a consultant with Barilla US local marketing teams in the creative development for media campaigns – enforcing guidance of best practices for execution
  • Supervision on a pre- and post-production phase of the activities implemented by different creative agencies, to ensure the productionand delivery of all ADV assets for ATL media, on time for the “on-air”
  • Assist in the coordination of production schedules and cost estimates

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media or Communication 
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a media agency / digital media agency/company's media planning & buying department
  • Solid knowledge of media strategy, terminology, and analytics, including online and offline channels
  • Strong analytical skills with emphasis on digital media reporting & analysis
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail, strong organizational / project management skills

Preferred:

  • Integrated account and/or project management experience
  • Experience with media planning tools such as Nielsen, Com Score, DoubleClick, and Google Ad Words
  • Experience in management Programmatic media campaigns
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
