Boelter + Lincoln is seeking a Media Planner/Buyer that is responsible for developing plans and negotiating & placing client’s broadcast, outdoor, print and digital buys. Effectively executes, problem solves and develops solid business relationships. The Media Planner/Buyer will continue to increase their knowledge base as it pertains to planning, evaluating and buying advertising media across a variety of venues.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans advertising media programs for specific clients under the direction of the Media Director or Digital Media Manager 
  • Presents media plans to M.D., account service and/or clients for approval and makes adjustments as necessary. 
  • Negotiate and place television, radio, print, outdoor and interactive buys for accounts within an assigned group of markets or clients 
  • Estimate, update and adjust broadcast ratings 
  • Execute all media plans while adhering to established budgets and timelines 
  • Clearly and accurately communicates orders and changes to media vendors 
  • Monitors buys in progress, arranges for makegoods and credits and is responsible for the post-buy results of all buys 
  • Track media expenditures in SBMS to ensure budget compliance 
  • Stay on top of media trends 
  • Assist in the development of media plans for existing and prospective clients 
  • Maintains the best possible relationship with clients, Account Service and media representatives in order to further mutual interests of the agency and its clients 
  • Promote positive working relationships within the department, the agency and the media vendor community

  • Exceptional presentation, verbal and written communication skills

  • Be an agent of change 
  • Relationships with co-workers and clients are harmonious and productive
  • 2-3 years of agency media and buying experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or related degree 
  • Efficiently use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote 
  • Vast knowledge of Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Facebook and other social media platforms 
  • Work experience in the broadcast and digital arena preferred 
  • Possess strong math and analytical skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under tight deadlines
