Media Planners at Clarity Coverdale Fury, an independently owned advertising agency located in Minneapolis, manage the day-to-day process of all media planning efforts for several local and regional brands. The successful candidate will have experience developing strategic “media neutral” plans. Planners are also responsible for implementing multi-media plans including broadcast, digital, social, print and out-of-home. A strong knowledge of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest region is a plus.

A media planner must be proficient and comfortable using Excel to create spreadsheets and be very comfortable working with numbers. Since a media planner tends to have lots of contact with reps, they should also be comfortable dealing with people via phone and face-to-face. Must enjoy working in a team-based environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with internal and client teams to develop media strategies and tactics 
  • Develops plans anchored with and supported by data, facts and research 
  • Works with the media team to present the plans for client approval 
  • Executes the plan including negotiations, optimizations and invoice reconciliation 
  • Manages vendor relationships for all non-broadcast media 
  • Day-to-day communication of media related issues internally an with clients, including status meetings, POVs, etc. 
  • Monitors added-value on behalf of brand and creates post-campaign recaps 
  • Keeps up with industry trends and technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • 3-5 years of media experience at an advertising agency 
  • Strong organization, math, writing and presentation skills 
  • Comfortable working on a Mac and within Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
