As a Colle McVoy Media Planner, you’d be part of a team that creates meaningful connections and champions innovative plans across a spectrum of channels and first-to-market opportunities. We’re looking for someone with existing agency-side media planning experience, especially in linear television, digital video/display and social media. Experience within the agricultural category is a plus but not required. You’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to create competitive analyses, trend reports, audience profiles, media plans, optimizations/performance reports and overall financial stewardship to lead your clients’ businesses success. Attention to detail and accountability are must-haves. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, data-driven and creative thinker who wants to contribute from Day One, bringing a positive attitude with a drive towards teamwork, communication, strategic solutions and mentoring assistant media planners. Responsibilities:

  • Acts as lead media planner to create integrated media campaigns 
  • Interact with multi-functional teams (Brand Leadership, Insight, Data Science, Creative, Public Relations, Brand Experience, Design) 
  • Generate planning rates, develop plans against budget 
  • Continuously look for new opportunities and advise clients on the latest trends across all media (traditional, digital, mobile, social, emerging, etc.) 
  • Negotiate rate efficiencies and value-add 
  • Create plan documents and internal direction orders 
  • Develop/assist in client presentations 
  • Work directly with media team and external partners to build, negotiate, secure and steward assigned client media investments 
  • Supervise Assistant Media Planners 
  • Collaborate with Media Supervisor and Associate Media Directors/Media Directors 
  • Monitor and evaluate plan performance in close collaboration with investment and analytics teams 
  • Facilitate client and media relationships 
  • Attend appropriate internal and client meetings 
  • Evaluate opportunities and create point of view documents 
  • Mentor, supervise, and train Assistant Media Planners, working towards additional senior media planning and supervisory responsibilities 
  • Develop and present agency training presentations on new ideas
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience 
  • 1-2 years of media planning experience on an agency-side team is required 
  • Proven experience developing and managing consumer-focused media plans across all channels both national and local 
  • Have working understanding of basic media resources (Simmons, Nielsen AdIntel, ComScore, Strata, DoubleClick, etc.) 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook 
  • Have passion for advertising, strategy, leading, and experience in traditional, non-traditional digital and emerging media technologies 
  • Confident, resourceful and respectful, can function with minimal supervision yet accountable to media leadership 
  • Has excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Collaborative and positive 
  • Ability to travel as needed
