The Media Relations Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine (NM), adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Media Relations Specialist plays a key role in the execution of the media relations outreach to support key clinical services, hospitals and health system activities. Working closely with media relations leadership, this position will be responsible for the implementation of media strategies and tactics in order to enhance the NM reputation. The Media Relations Specialist is responsible for working closely with internal clients and fellow media relations team members to identify trends, key interests, and potential media topics, in order to secure proactive media opportunities and fulfill reactive media request.
This role requires collaboration with internal partners including hospital and executive and clinical leadership, communications, marketing, social media, etc.
