As part of the Packers’ office in Milwaukee, WI, the Broadcast/Media Sales Executive is responsible for generating new revenue selling sponsorships and advertising on the Packers Broadcast Networks, which includes both statewide/regional radio and TV Networks and emerging media platforms.

This position is located in the Packers’ Milwaukee Office. While required to contribute to the overall success of the Sales & Business Development team, this position places special emphasis on media advertisers and growth of the Packers audio and video media outlets/revenue.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for new business development on the Packers Radio and TV Networks to achieve team and individual revenue goals. 
  • Manage the renewal and/or upsell of a book of existing broadcast partnerships to achieve team and individual revenue goals. 
  • Responsible for full sales cycle, including prospecting, conducting needs analysis, presenting and closing new and incremental business opportunities for both Packers Radio and TV Networks. 
  • Work directly with existing partners and new business prospects, including senior management with large corporations, marketing teams, media agency leaders, etc. 
  • Create and develop advertising partnerships with an understanding and focus on an organization’s goals and objectives. 
  • Develop plans and strategies to establish and build relationships with organizations that have an advertising/media focus in Wisconsin/Midwest region. 
  • Demonstrate superior communication skills by effectively delivering presentations in front of a group as well as in one-to-one situations with senior level decision makers. 
  • Assist in the development of new audio/video inventory/revenue streams.
  • Conduct business during non-traditional hours, taking advantage of opportunities to interact with clients and prospects during games and special events. 
  • Work closely with supervisor, Partnership Services, Traffic/Fulfillment and broadcast operations teams to ensure superior customer service and opportunities to grow existing business. 
  • Develop understanding of Packers marketing and sponsorship business with an expectation to ultimately contribute to sales in all corporate activities. 
  • Work to preserve and protect the Green Bay Packers, The Packers Radio and TV Networks, Titletown and Lambeau Field trademarks and all affiliated brands. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum three-five years of successful media or sports and entertainment sales experience, with emphasis in sports media preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of basic marketing and advertising principles. 
  • Experience in developing outstanding internal and external business relationships. 
  • Demonstrates flexibility and creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the proven ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, within a team environment. 
  • Must be self-motivated and adept at working both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Power Point, in addition to other emerging software. 
  • Understands and has the ability to provide superior customer service. 
  • Provide a positive attitude, collaborative nature and team focused mentality to everything you do.
