Lead a team of creative professionals at Media Solutions! We are artists, medical/scientific illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, and multimedia specialists who advance health by providing creative services to clients in the School of Medicine and Public Health and beyond. You will lead an internal business unit by example through coaching and mentoring, providing feedback and evaluation, building team culture, inspiring, motivating, overseeing finances, and fostering both creativity and productivity.

The Media Solutions Administrative Director leads the operations of Media Solutions within the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) by overseeing the creation and delivery of visual communication and photographic materials for faculty, staff, learners, and other clients within and outside of the School. Media Solutions is a fee-for-service unit that supports the ability of SMPH personnel to fulfill their instructional, research, scholarly, and clinical objectives.

This position supervises a team of creative professionals including artists, graphic designers, medical/scientific illustrators, photographers, videographers, multimedia designers, and a billing manager. The Media Solutions Administrative Director personally provides graphic design services and consultation to Media Solutions clients and customers. This position coordinates support for software and systems, including MacOS applications and equipment, used by Media Solutions personnel. The incumbent will also provide productivity and financial reports to the Director of Strategic Communications, and partner with the School's administrative leadership to determine current and future objectives for Media Solutions.

The Media Solutions Administrative Director will apply their skills and experience in visual arts, design, business, management, and program administration to provide excellent customer service and to create professional-level media and audio-visual products. They must maintain the unit's book of business and foster the financial health of the unit through marketing, lead generation, and customer and client relationship management.

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in visual arts and/or business. Additional professional development, training, or advanced degree preferred in graphic design, business, entrepreneurship, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in graphic design (print and digital) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with creative services project management and customer/client relations required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience managing a creative services team required.
  • Experience directing revenue-producing operations in support of an academic environment preferred.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment as the senior level.

SALARY: Minimum $75,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
