SINGULAR PURPOSE:

Lead strategy, planning, implementation, and analysis for paid media efforts on behalf of assigned agency clients.

Strategic Planner

  • Serve as lead strategist and manager overseeing all paid media services on assigned client accounts. This includes defining approach for engaging target audiences and driving brand interactions to deliver upon communication objectives and business goals. 
  • Lead strategic media planning for assigned media-buying clients, learn, and understand their products and markets, long- and short-term priorities, and general preferences for media channels. 
  • Work with client management teams to identify paid media objectives and planning parameters, define how communication will be delivered across various media channels, and establish strategic framework for development and implementation of tactical plans.

Adviser and Analyst 

  • Responsible for the creation and presentation of media strategy and plan recommendations, POVs, analysis and reporting and other educational information to internal/external clients.
  • Analyze company or brand research to support media planning for clients’ or prospects’ advertising. Also perform media-comparison audits and make recommendations. 
  • Work with media planner, digital media specialist, client management teams and other agency subject matter experts to develop measurement plans for campaign tracking, analysis, and reporting based on media objectives and KPIs. 
  • Evaluate trends, emerging technologies, tools, audience behavior, media usage and content consumption, as well as make recommendations for how we can create new opportunities for our clients. 
  • Analyze multi-channel opportunities and present detailed rationale to the client management team and clients. 
  • Help manage resources and tools to make the agency’s paid media team as effective and efficient as possible. 
  • Manages accuracy and workflow for presentations.
  • Pursue new media planning and buying opportunities with existing and prospective clients. 
  • Provide leadership and direction in the daily operations of paid media team. Participate in and/or lead various initiatives in support of the department vision. 
  • Proactively serve as an agency subject matter expert, resource and thought leader on all things related to paid media.

POSITION SKILLS:

  • Mastery of media planning fundamentals. Skilled at outlining segmentation of media budgets, audiences, and media mix to inform tactical planning. 
  • Ability to present complicated media plans in a simplified form to clients. 
  • Excels at developing and maintaining great relationships with media partners. 
  • Savvy at negotiating ad rates and value-added benefits. 
  • Ability to distill paid media results into an understandable format and offer unique insights into the role paid media plays in helping our clients succeed. 
  • Oversee media administration on assigned accounts to ensure campaigns are delivered within budgets, billed appropriately, and reported accurately. 
  • Mentor and advise other members of paid media team, guiding and championing knowledge growth of others on the team. 

Knowledgeable about: 

  • Ad serving technologies 
  • Programmatic media buying and geo-based advertising campaigns 
  • Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization 
  • MarTech evaluation 
  • Understanding online audience behaviors and trends 
  • Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Campaign Manager
