Hanson Dodge—an AdAge Best Places to Work agency for 2021—is seeking to add an ace practitioner to our Media & Activation Team. We’re looking for someone who can walk in the door and on Day 1, support our media experts through high touch management of PPC and paid social media campaigns. HD’s Media Tactician will have a strong understanding of how to read the data, develop insights, make optimizations and client recommendations. They’ll manage self-serve platforms on a day-to-day basis with a deep understanding of tracking and analytics to inform teams on patterns, opportunities and to achieve the optimum campaign ROI. Qualified candidates will be certified in Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager and other social platforms. Also seeking applicants with Google Analytics certification, experience in Campaign Manager 360, MRI/Simmons, or other media buying software to round out paid channel expertise. As part of HD’s Media and Activation group, this role will work closely with our experts in complementary marketing channels to execute broader, integrated plans for our clients. This person will report to HD’s Integrated Media Strategist.

This position is open to Milwaukee area and remote candidates. Remote candidates must reside in the continental U.S. to be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the construction of media plans that are grounded in a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses, marketing objectives, prime prospect consumers, and the most appropriate and effective media vehicles. 
  • Work closely with the Integrated Media Strategist on pay per click campaigns, Google Analytics data pulls, social campaign performance, analysis, media consumption and insights. 
  • Perform market research to uncover media opportunities that are best suited to help clients accomplish their business objectives via paid channels. 
  • Manage day-to-day execution of client media and social media plans, including responsibility for PPC and paid social development and administration, ongoing campaign optimization, budget review and reconciliation, and reporting. 
  • Inform the Media and Activation team’s efforts to keep clients and the agency up to speed on the latestand greatest in tech developments in these channels and others that affect the performance of these channels. Proactively share learnings and recommendations with clients to continuously improvecampaign performance. 
  • Identify new opportunities to improve campaign performance. 
  • Work closely with Finance personnel to ensure that media partners are delivering results per the latter’s contractual obligations. 
  • Collaborate with Traffic, Production, and Client Leadership personnel to ensure campaign assets are produced to the correct specifications, and delivered to media partners in a timely fashion. 
  • Instill a high degree of confidence in clients and co-workers, such that both come to value her or his contribution.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of two to four years experience executing paid media in an agency or corporate in-house marketing function. 
  • Demonstrable experience in social media, search and other PPC campaigns. 
  • Ambitious and capable learner with a passion for learning new media channels, toolsets, and practices. 
  • Proficient in using vital tool sets such as Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, Twitter, Pinterest, MRI/Simmons and media planning software such as Strata and third party ad serving interfaces Campaign Manager 360. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be a multitasker who can simultaneously develop and manage plans for multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.
  •  “Driver” personality who is equally effective at working individually and being part of a team. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, marketing or similar field. 
  • Impeccable written and oral communication skills.
