Executive Director, Inc. (EDI) is an association management company (AMC) headquartered in downtown Milwaukee. Our professional services firm provides full-service management to almost 40 non-profit global and national associations, primarily in the medical and scientific fields. Our company is composed of two important teams vital to the success of EDI’s business - Client Services and Support Services.

Client services are made up of dedicated client teams where staff work with their volunteer leaders and members, who are world renowned professionals in their field, to execute an association’s strategic plan. Client teams can range from 2 to 30+ staff members per team, driven by the needs of the association.

Support services are the foundation of EDI’s AMC model and are shared resources that work with all of our client services teams to help them achieve their goals. Our clients no longer need to worry about staffing or outsourcing functions of their business as everything is taken care of at EDI.

Membership Manager

CLIENT ASSOCIATION: Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, SITC

REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Membership and Communications

DIRECT REPORTS: None

EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt (Minimum 37.5 hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) is a non-profit medical professional society of influential scientists, academicians, researchers, clinicians, government representatives, and industry leaders from around the world dedicated to improving cancer patient outcomes by advancing the science and application of cancer immunotherapy. Reporting to the Associate Director of Membership and Communications, the Membership Manager supports the mission of the society by managing department activities with accuracy and while keeping the member experience at the forefront.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES(Minimum of 37.5 hours/week):

  • Primary responsibility for data integrity and ensuring optimal use of database functionality to support departmental/program goals. 
  • Provides accurate, current, and timely information to support department/program requirements. 
  • Responsible for importing/exporting data, generating reports, organizing, and summarizing data from various sources.
  • Analyzes information needs of multiple users to assist in determining appropriate database application structures and report specifications. 
  • Constructs database applications, including procedures, modules, functions, automated events, and customized forms and reports. 
  • Trains staff on their responsibilities regarding data needs, entry, and operational policies and procedures. 
  • Makes recommendations based on data findings. 
  • Coordinates the following processes: 
  • Onboarding new members, renewing existing members, volunteer activity tracking and turnover leadership election process, Calls for Proposalsz, activity codes, lists, and database additions. Lead upload from exhibiting efforts and ROI tracking, database maintenance.
  •  Assist the Associate Director in maintaining budgets and ROI, recommending new opportunities to promote and incentivize behaviors to engage and retain customers, including the integration of rewards and recognition programs. 
  • Serve as onsite staff at scientific meeting and industry conference exhibiting efforts to raise the profile of the society when needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree preferred 5 years of professional experience (association management experience a plus) 
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to evaluate, report and deliver on defined outcomes 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines with acute attention to detail and high accuracy on outputs. 
  • Able to work successfully in a team environment but needs to be self-directed in a hybrid work environment. 
  • Database management, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel (including formulas, charts, pivot tables) and applying critical thinking to determine the best way to display data a must. 
  • Experience with iMIS and/or MS Access a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel of up to 2-4 weeks per year; with some evening and weekend work as needed.
  • Occasional lifting, up to 50lbs.
