Membership Manager

The position of Membership Manager is an integral component in the Patina Solutions Group, Inc. (“Patina”) business model and is a key member of the corporate team. The individual in this role reports to the Director of Marketing and is based in the Patina Corporate Headquarters in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The focus of this position is to accelerate expansion of the Patina Nation – a leading-edge professional community of independent executives and senior managers. Patina Nation supports, connects, engages, and offers earning opportunities to its members. There are currently 25,000 Patina Nation members – we want to grow that membership to 500,000 in the next five years. The dynamic individual in the Membership Manager role will advance this exciting vision for growth of the Patina Nation.

Summary Job Description:

  • Work closely with Patina leadership and marketing teams to identify and implement strategies and tactics, propose solutions and coordinate initiatives that significantly and quickly grow membership of our national, online professional community called Patina Nation. 
  • Establish and build relationships with a wide range of professional organizations – local, regional, national and international – that have complimentary memberships. 
  • Ensure accurate and complete database records; capture contact and related information. 
  • Monitor and report on membership growth, progress and trends. 
  • Maintain communication with prospective individual members via direct contact, email, social media, web pages and print publications.

Core Competencies and Personal Characteristics:

Patina needs an experienced Membership Manager dedicated to leading this important work as it is critical to the company’s ability to grow. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify candidate pools, will possess large-group prospecting talents, and has a history of achieving membership-building goals by implementing effective internal and external marketing plans. The Membership Manager will work closely with our Patina Nation Programs and Content Manager to ensure we are meeting the needs of Patina Nation members. To succeed in the Membership Manager role, the individual must be an extremely motivated self-starter with a high level of business intelligence and resourcefulness. The ability to perform multiple tasks and to thrive in a fast-paced culture with high expectations is also necessary. In addition to having overall strong professional presence, the Membership Manager should demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and an ability to represent Patina in a positive fashion to various audiences. The Membership Manager must also be highly collaborative with colleagues, suppliers, vendors, professional associations and the public.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a field such as membership building, external affairs, marketing, recruiting, community or alumni relations 
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in fostering productive relationships 
  • Proven competence in building operations and programs to attract professionals to join a community 
  • Ability to find creative new ways to attract members 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work from our Brookfield, Wisconsin office 
  • A combination of versatile skills – such as digital promotions and marketing, SEO, list building, advertising, PPC, and/or sponsorship arrangements – is desired · 
  • Excellent software and technology skills; experience with database administration and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, is a plus 
  • Experience with HubSpot, Photoshop, WordPress, and/or InDesign is a plus
