Position Summary:

Life Time is looking for a highly skilled Motion Designer/Editor to create content on a wide range of platforms – from broadcast to social, in-club digital signage, to our website and the Life Time app.

As our Motion Designer/Editor, you’ll be responsible for the design and creation of video and motion assets, bringing them to life, outputting and delivering high-quality and innovative work. You’re a born collaborator who loves working with creatives. You have excellent communication skills. You have an appetite to learn, grow, work hard and have fun.Most of all, you’ll bring fresh ideas and perspectives that push the limits of our brand while also meeting our brand standards. This is a role for a creative individual with excellent aesthetic judgment and willingness to collaborate within a team environment. Someone who is comfortable handling multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations, communicating progress, and delivering amazing work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create video and motion content and assets for use across a wide variety of media, including social media, mobile platforms, web, broadcast, digital signs and emerging media 
  • Translate project details and creative direction into custom motion work, and serve as the in-house expert for motion design projects 
  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with project team members and our creative team, bringing creative insights to scripts and storyboards 
  • Collaborate with the Life Time Motion team in selecting appropriate audio, graphic, color, and animation styles for the project 
  • Partner with Project Managers and Creative Directors to balance design solutions with budget and timeline limitations 
  • Encode, convert, resize and edit videos while keeping you’re the organized and properly archived for future use 
  • Serve as a technical expert—stay on top of advancements in animation as well as new technologies and techniques, trends in motion design, video and music editing

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in related field 
  • 5+ years as a Motion Designer and Editor 
  • A robust digital portfolio demonstrating history of high-quality motion work 
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud. After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Media Encoder 
  • Willingness to experiment, be iterative, and use creativity to problem solve 
  • Strong attention to detail, knows how to take a visual idea from good to great 
  • Ability to incorporate feedback and new ideas from creatives and internal clients 
  • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility 
  • Ability to manage time and workload to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work 
  • Creates and encourages a culture of collaboration, creativity, communication, and enthusiasm 
  • Ability to be a problem-solver for both creative and technical issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cinema 4D 
  • Experience creating high-quality video effects 
  • Experience with color grading and color grading software highly desired
