The Motion Graphics/Sr. Motion Graphics Designer acts as courseware developer providing design and programming support for the development of asynchronous online learning video, courses and interactive performance improvement tools. The position is responsible for the creation of custom illustration, animation, graphic design and multimedia presentations that seamlessly integrate with e-Learning systems. 

Note:This position may be hired at the Motion Graphics Designer or Senior Motion Graphics Desginer level given the skills/experience of the candidate.

Design & Development

  • Designs and develops highly engaging, interactive learning presentations using Adobe AfterEffects, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.
  • Designs and programs graphical user interfaces for asynchronous online learning projects.
  • Follows industry standards for usability and SCORM/AICC compliance.
  • Performs testing and QA on all elements of E-Learning courses to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and professionalism.

Instructional Design

  • Designs custom graphics, illustrations and animation that ensures effective knowledge transfer and retention.
  • Assists in developing content, programming logic, and storyboards.

Project Management

  • Estimates design, development, and programming tasks for the purpose of project planning and prioritization of e-learning training requests from the business units.

Process Improvement

  • Contributes to the development of standard E-Learning processes in the areas of programming, project management, and instructional design.

Program Evaluation

  • Analysis Develops evaluation tools and metrics using Kirkpatrick’s levels 1-4.
  • Analyzes results to determine the impact of training on the performance of target audience and if necessary makes adjustments to existing courses.

Required Qualifications

Motion Graphics Designer

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience designing animation, motion graphics, multimedia, motion effects, interactive web sites or e-learning courses.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Design, Advertising, Video Production, or Training.

Senior Motion Graphics Designer

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) OR 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience designing animation, motion graphics, multimedia, motion effects, web pages or e-learning courses.
  • 3+ years’ experience in project management.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Design, Advertising, Video Production, or Training.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with the advanced features of the following software applications: Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Flash, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
  • Understanding of web usability standards, web design, and user interface design.
  • Understanding of basic programming logic.
  • Project management skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Training program design and development skills.
  • Time Management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
