Position Details

Multi-Media Specialist
Chicago Illinois

The Multimedia Specialist will report directly to the Vice President of Government Affairs and Corporate Communication. The Multimedia Specialist is a creative professional who is adept at video and digital content creation and programs, produces presentations, websites, social media and other projects using text, video and other multimedia tools. This role will be responsible for creating and incorporating media in both Ardagh’s internal and external communications. A successful candidate must be technically advanced, a quick learner, self-motivated and require little supervision. Adaptability and a willingness to jump in to help outside of your normal role is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Corporate Affairs leadership to create a multi-media strategy (video, social media, etc.) that drives understanding across Ardagh stakeholders of efforts to engage employees, secure customers, etc. 
  • Plan, shoot and edit high quality photos and videos. 
  • Design and develop user-interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. 
  • Production and posting of digital content for social media platforms. 
  • Use a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools to produce video for efficient playback on various platform requirements. 
  • Support staff by creating engaging presentations, videos, etc., using audio, video, photography, graphics and text. 
  • Consult with subject matter experts to verify content and its presentation. 
  • Maintain Ardagh's multimedia library - ensuring imagery is catalogued and cleared for external and/or internal use.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Arts, Film Production, Multimedia, or other related fields. 
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in digital media field. 
  • Experience with graphic design, graphic design software and social media programs. 
  • Experience with video production and editing software including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. 
  • Experience with photo editing and software including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop. 
  • Strong writing skills including knowledge of what makes for compelling social media posts. 
  • Experience with social media marketing campaigns across multiple platforms with an inherent understanding of how these platforms perform in pursuit of audience growth and engagement.
