If you answered yes, Wespath Benefits and Investments has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multimedia Manager. The leader in this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of a multimedia communication strategy to tell the Wespath story through video, graphics, web and social. They will work with a dynamic five-person creative team, collaborating with others on the communication team and with clients across the organization.

More specifically, the Multimedia Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Multimedia Communication Strategy: Develop a multimedia communication strategy and approach to tell the Wespath story through video, graphics, web and social that aligns with agency goals and objectives. Identify mixed media best practices and new industry standards that can be leveraged for communications. In collaboration with content managers and clients, they will plan and execute the development of internal and external multimedia communications consistent with the mission, vision and quality image of the organization. Direct periodic audience research to determine needs and implement improvements in multimedia communication efforts.

Storytelling and Content Creation: With a mindset of curiosity, and in partnership with content managers and clients, find story ideas that help raise awareness of the organization. Write and create content and oversee team content development that supports project narratives and outcomes.

Multimedia Production and Project Management: Develop and administer a multimedia budget in partnership with the Managing Director, Communications. Oversee all aspects of multimedia content development, including external production resources. Establish production schedules at the onset of a project and manage to milestones throughout. Provide clear project guidance, and supervise copy design for effective use of print, video, web and multimedia communications. Participate and add value to the organization’s management and project teams. Serve as an agency resource to internal speakers and content managers, providing guidance and coaching related to effective video and presentation delivery.

Production Management: Plan and schedules all reproduction and production projects, determining the appropriate method of reproduction and production based on turnaround time, required quality and quantity, cost effectiveness and resource availability. Create and maintain workflow management tool.

Talent Leadership and Development: Effectively recruit, onboard and support ongoing development of direct reports. Lead content managers, videographers, graphic designers and social media manager on deliverables.

Wespath Web and Social Content Management: Oversee web content development with emphasis on increased use of visual content, including video and infographics. Manage the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of agency websites. Manage agency social media sites including Facebook and Twitter, overseeing the social media content manager.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing, video/graphic design or equivalent work experience.
  • 7-10 years as a communication/multimedia professional in a corporate or related environment. 
  • Experience creating content for benefits, pension, financial or investment communications preferred. 
  • 7 years of experience hiring, motivating, training and evaluating communication professionals. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of video production, graphic design and reproduction processes. 
  • Demonstrated project management experiences, from concept through delivery, including production oversight. 
  • Experience producing integrated communications, including writing for print, the web, video and electronic media.

Preferred Qualifications:

Communication Planning: Strong experience developing, executing and measuring the effectiveness of multimedia plans that engage key audiences. Experience partnering with content managers and providing communication guidance and counsel to clients, including the ability to listen for understanding, and influence leaders and vendors.

Project Management: Proficient in creating and managing work plans to organize projects into tasks, sequencing activities for maximum efficiency, estimating and managing time and budget required to complete tasks.

Interpersonal: Interacts and communicates effectively with content managers, department leaders and peers throughout the organization. Works effectively with different personalities within the organization.
