edU-Innovative Consulting, LLC, a Colorado-based higher education consulting firm, is seeking a college intern to assist in the development of a new and sustaining social media marketing presence for the company in a mutual learning environment. The intent of this recruitment is to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape including various social media sites.

The Intern will work directly with the President of edU-Innovative Consulting, LLC to establish a new and sustaining social media marketing plan.

Create engaging content for multiple platforms and mediums designed for higher education market.

To initiate and elevate edU-Innovative Consulting’s social media position on various platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)

Grow online social networks by increasing fan-base and interactions.

Schedule content to be published on social media at ideal times for optimal interactions.

Brainstorm/pitch ideas for client and/or internal social media projects/opportunities.

Conduct research on the latest and upcoming trends in social media marketing.

Monitor client social media accounts across multiple platforms.

College Intern must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, English, or similar.

College Intern should be able to dedicate 10-15 hours per week with a self-directed schedule.

Remote/non-Colorado or Midwest locations within the United States is acceptable and there is no travel requirement.

Planning and communications will be through email and conference calls.

A creative self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills/is comfortable with out-of-the-box thinking to promote services in a unique and creative way.

Must have strong time management and organizational skills.

Must have strong knowledge and successful connection/existing positive interactions with social media sites.

This is a paid, 12-week independent contractor position, resulting in a 1099 at the end of the calendar year. The individual in this position will be responsible for her/his own taxes. The full contract amount of $1,500.00 will be paid in three (3) equal payments of $500.00.

The initial contract for this Internship is from approximately June 24 – September 13, 2019. The hours and time requirements are flexible; taking educational priorities into consideration.
