The New Business Marketing Strategist is responsible for advancing growth strategies for the organization through support of the sales team to win new business and by working in partnership with the client operations team to identify organic growth through expansion of sites or services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review RFP requests for organizational fit and provide recommendation on how to proceed including a well thought-out and researched win strategy.
  2. Provide direction to the business writer and creative team on the RFP win strategy so they can produce the RFP content.
  3. Engage the win strategy team (SME’s) in order to provide necessary support to the creative team in completing the RFP.
  4. Manage the RFP process including coordination, oversight and preparation of the final document for submission according to required deadlines and format.
  5. Track all RFP activity, resources utilized and win rate to monitor ROI of RFP efforts.
  6. Maintain the RFP response software system and ensure responses are current and accurately reflect our business, routinely refreshed, brand consistent, and tightly crafted.
  7. Participate in the development of an organization sales strategy and build an annual multi-channel integrated marketing plan to support successful execution of the sales strategy.
  8. Partner with the creative team and digital strategist on the creative execution of the marketing strategies.
  9. Manage lead generation and tracking and assist in the development of a marketing strategy to move prospects through the funnel.
  10. Conduct segmentation analysis of prospects in our current pipeline to prioritize opportunities and ensure messaging that is highly targeted to identified customer segments/personas.
  11. In partnership with the sales team and creative team, develop persuasive and impactful capabilities presentations and finalist presentations leveraging new technologies as appropriate.
  12. Provide overall management of the CRM system (sales force) for tracking of sales pipeline, scoring leads and optimizing functionality of the system to support tracking all touches with prospects to move them through the sales funnel.
  13. Support the Client Operations Managers with growth opportunities for existing clients.
  14. Compile client, customer testimonials for use on the web site and in RFPs and presentations.
  15. Identify white paper topics, case studies and thought leadership ideas for development by the creative team.
  16. Monitor and evaluate success of sales and marketing strategies in order to continually refine content, channels and customer segments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum (7) years in a marketing, sales, or business development role. 
  • Prior health care experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Competency in managing and responding to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Highly competent in Salesforce 
  • Experience in digital B2B strategy; lead generation marketing campaigns
  • Competency with data mining and database manipulation
  • Competency in writing and editing sales materials including proposals
  • Expert level in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM software
  • A “can-do” temperament with a passion for winning new business
  • Effective positive human relations skills including tact, diplomacy, and ability to work with all levels of staff and leadership
  • Strong resilience with the ability to overcome objections and obstacles
  • Ability to influence and manage cross-functional support
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative in enabling business solutions
  • Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery
