We are seeking a full-time Operations Manager for our Milwaukee office. The Operations Manager is a forward-thinking and proactive team member responsible for ensuring ultimate success of the organization.

The Operations Manager will perform a wide range of duties, including internal administrative tasks and client-related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Office management, including IT and vendor management, filing, and managing physical space 
  • Campaign finance compliance, including accounting, managing campaign databases, check-writing and expense tracking, and preparing campaign finance reports 
  • Planning and staffing client events 
  • Managing media database and pitching media
  • Recruiting and managing interns 
  • Creating and implementing websites managing social media and communications campaigns, and developing and managing the creation of high-quality printed materials
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Qualifications

  • Be dependable, detail-oriented, motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Have strong and positive interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to manage tasks for dozens of clients simultaneously and prioritize accurately 
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills, superb analytical and methodical problem-solving skills, and be able to work well in team environments 
  • Have reliable personal transportation 
  • Experience utilizing social media networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube 
  • Be proficient in creating and maintaining high-quality, 100% accurate documents with Google Docs/Sheets and Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator), Canva, Squarespace, Mailchimp, and NGP a plus. 
  • Proven work experience in and knowledge of political campaigns and campaign compliance, nonprofit organization operations, event planning, program management, and/or communications/PR campaigns

Requirements

  • Has earned or is pursuing degree in relevant field; or comparable work experience 
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of client information 
  • Available to work at least 40 hours a week, typical schedule is flexible between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; some early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours will be required 
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel around the state as needed

Salary range: $38,000 to $42,000 / year. 401(k) match offered after probationary period. No group health insurance offered.
