The Paid Digital Media Strategist should have a comprehensive understanding of how paid digital media works, and experience with building, executing and managing ad campaigns on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms, as well as in Google Ads. You should have at least 1-2 years of experience being client facing, working on multiple accounts and campaigns at once, putting together performance reports, and working collaboratively with a variety of Account Managers, Strategists and other Specialists on the team.

You should have a strong attention for detail, and an eager willingness to learn from some of the best in the business. In addition to driving the strategic direction of certain ad campaigns, you will also assist with quality assurance, maintenance, and optimization on multiple accounts in collaboration with our team. Being able to meet tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects is a must for this position. We are growing fast and there are great opportunities for advancement within the team for the right people who excel in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable in a client-facing role 
  • Develop, execute and manage multiple campaigns, for multiple clients during any given week 
  • Building audience targeting plans and campaign structures 
  • Determining a targeting strategy (both in platform and via additional audience networks) 
  • Influencing the creative direction of ad content through performance insights and best practices 
  • Optimizing budgets 
  • Track, monitor and adjust the performance of multiple campaigns at once, in the ad platform, and in Google Analytics 
  • Track and monitor multiple budgets at a time 
  • Setup and troubleshoot conversion tracking across campaigns 
  • Identify areas of opportunity in a given campaign or market including utilizing cross-platform insights to expand audience targeting, improve creative, and A/B test 
  • Assist and collaborate with the Strategy, Project Management and Account teams on campaign QA, maintenance, and performance improvement 
  • Ensure projects are on track and client goals are being met 
  • Takes constructive feedback and direction from managers and teammates

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in paid digital including Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, and LinkedIn. 
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Must be curious with a strong desire to learn 
  • Fast learner and accepting of constructive criticism 
  • Self-starter with the ability to stay well-organized in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • High attention to detail (include the word “rocketship” in your cover letter so we know you’re paying attention) 
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle a variety of priorities at once 
  • Ability to work independently but also collaboratively as part of a team with other strategists, account managers, and subject matter experts 
  • Must be comfortable with data analysis in Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn, and paid platforms 
  • Willingness to take on any task with enthusiasm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of organic social media strategy and the strong overlap between organic and paid 
  • Understanding of Amazon advertising is a plus but not required
