Photographer

Position Summary:

This position will create, process, and store for future use a wide variety of photo needs for the company. The main focus will be on apparel and merchandise photography for the USCCA store and lifestyle images to be used as marketing collateral across the company, including but not limited to Retail, Training, Consumer Experience, Business Development, and Official Partner Program marketing efforts. Photos will be shot in the studio and on location and will meet all USCCA Brand Standards under the creative director's guidance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must have outstanding photography and post-production skill, allowing for the creation, manipulation, storage, and tagging of marketing photography with an extreme sense of detail. Photography skills shall include but not be limited to studio lighting, model direction, photo/merchandise styling, color correction, and other elements of post-production to ensure photos meet the highest quality standards for acceptance by all stakeholders. The successful candidate will also fulfill a wide range of duties surrounding the organization and scheduling of photo shoots; from hiring models to locating or creating effective shooting sets, working collaboratively to create shot lists, procure props, and continuously strive for the highest quality imagery to reflect the company's position in the marketplace.

Skills/Abilities and Education Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years or more of successful studio photography and post-production experience, serving various stakeholders, formats, and media. With a demonstrated ability to be flexible enough to follow directions when needed and creative enough to offer workable alternatives in the face of marketing demands. Recent work samples will be required. 
• Expert-level knowledge of photographic equipment, lighting and post-production programs. 
• Experience shooting tabletop/flat lay apparel and accessories as well as on-figure and stylized photography. 
• A working knowledge of firearms, or the willingness and ability to learn about them as well as self-defense, training and concealed carry. 
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a creative team. 
• Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to tackle any job to reach the corporate goals. 
• Be a self-starter with extremely high standards and the ability to work independently and on a team to meet deadlines, proven time management skills in deadline-driven work. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro; CMS (e.g., WordPress) a plus. 
• Willing and able to understand the operation of the USCCA DAM system. 
• Attention to every detail 
• Basic knowledge of graphic design elements and topics 
• Must be willing to travel
