As the Planter Product Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement specific product line sales and marketing strategies, along with influencing inventory management and distribution improvements, that increase sales and market share for planters and attachments in North America. The owner will be the marketing product expert for the assigned product line (Early Riser Planters), including managing product launch and support activities, sales training material development, key shows and events planning and participation (~50% of focus). Provide input to Global Case IH team to guide key product development and improvement actions needed for North America, based on customer needs & product value proposition (~50% of focus).

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare annual marketing plans to achieve the key quantitative objectives for the region -- product gap analysis, customer segmentation, product offering, competitive positioning, launch planning & readiness, annual price books and order writing 
  • Define and manage distribution strategy in coordination with the Dealer Development organization. 
  • Support all elements of the go to market plan and key account penetration 
  • Manage company inventory to support promotional activities at farm shows, customer events, training events and agronomic partners for demos and plot work 
  • Develop sales and marketing training & promotional materials for all product lines for effective communication of product value proposition, features and benefits to the sales team & dealer network 
  • Lead material development and planning activities, working with other Product Marketing Managers and the field sales team 
  • Provide ongoing leadership and training for field-based Crop Production Product Specialists & Case IH & Dealer Sales teams 
  • Provide training & educate CNHi Global Planter team (about North American needs & farming practices), including traveling throughout North America showing firsthand applications & customer needs (capturing voice of customer) 
  • Maintain communication with the engineering development platforms providing customer input (voice of customer) for future product design to ensure Case IH is meeting evolving customer needs and ensuring that value proposition align with customers' requirements. 
  • Co-Lead the Crop Production Dealer Advisory Committee, including quarterly calls and annual face to face meetings

The qualified candidate will have:

  • B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Agronomy or Ag related field 
  • 4 plus years of direct selling, marketing, or product experience with knowledge of competitive practice, equipment capabilities, marketing techniques, business management, materials creation and current farming practices 
  • Experience in cash crop customer segments 
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Strong communication skills (both written & oral) 
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team environment 
  • Previous farming experience preferred 
  • Good understanding of agronomic principals and precision farming fundamentals 
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 30%
