Podcast Production Manager -or- Podcast Production Coordinator
Job
Full-time
3/1/2023
Southeast Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI

Podcamp Media seeks a creative, dedicated audio and multimedia production professional to help us tell our clients’ stories via podcasting, video, social and other media.

The Podcast Production Coordinator / Podcast Production Manager will serve as a lynchpin of the podcast and media production process, ensuring that every piece of content Podcamp produces sounds and looks professional and polished when it’s delivered to the client. Alternately fulfilling the functions of a producer, editor, recording engineer and project manager, the successful candidate will be expected to edit audio and video with a high degree of technique and precision, crafting coherent narratives from disparate assets.

Working together with other Podcamp team members and clients, they will collaborate to produce an end-product that exceeds the client’s expectations. They will also be called upon to live-mix recording sessions—be they virtual, in-studio or on-site—ensuring that the assets captured are of the highest, most useful quality. And they will occasionally need to facilitate the recording process, by delivering equipment to on-location sites and setting up for a recording session. Occasional travel may be required. Some writing will be required. Other duties as needed and assigned.

The position reports to the company President, and may be called upon to interact directly with clients. They will be expected to conduct themselves with appropriate and professional decorum during these interactions, ensuring that their actions reflect well on the company.

Finally, at Podcamp Media, “Everybody creates.” The successful candidate will have a creative drive and a passion for storytelling, and may be invited to ideate, strategize, produce and host their own podcast passion project, which will be published under Podcamp Media’s branded network.

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in editing audio / video.
  • Familiarity with video and audio recording equipment—microphones, sound mixers, cameras and recorders—their use and calibration.
  • High level of competence with audio and video editing software and equipment. At least some familiarity with the Adobe Suite of software. Expertise preferred.
  • Comfort with and understanding of editing theory and practices.
  • The grim determination to meet deadlines at all costs.
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills are critical. A never quit, “never-say-die” attitude is a must, along with a high tolerance for ambiguity and change.
  • Strong comfort level with accepting and responding positively to feedback.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.

$45,000 minimum annual salary, actual salary dependent on experience. Experienced candidates may be hired at a Manager level and compensated accordingly. Health, dental and vision benefits are available.
