Purdie Rogers is looking for a high-energy AE with a great CE press contacts, ready to expand their rolodex with consumer, business, and influential trade media. The ideal candidate will be ready to lead the media-relations efforts for clients, providing strategic counsel, delivering creative publicity solutions, and help guide long-term publicity success. This is a highly entrepreneurial position with room for growth.

WORKING REMOTE: This position may be performed remotely, depending on the applicant's experience level.

The Account Manager serves as the client’s voice when developing and executing marketing and advertising campaigns. A collaborative team player ensuring the efforts of the various team members (account, creative and digital teams) and components (strategy and tactics employed: online, print, social and PR) align with the client’s goals. They are responsible for developing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Superior media relations skills, including developing media strategies, leveraging key media relationships, and ability to establish new, top-tier press contacts 
  • Day-to-day client contact to manage PR plans, provide status updates, and find solutions to new challenges 
  • Writing and editing of PR plans, messaging documents, pitches, press releases, blogs, and bylines 
  • Maintain and demonstrate a deep understanding of clients and their industries 
  • Manage project deliverables, account budgets, and timelines 
  • Analyze, measure, and communicate results of PR activities Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of PR agency experience
  • Superior network of CE press contacts
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent copywriting/proofreading abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional travel

Compensation is dependent upon level of experience. Purdie Rogers offers healthcare and retirement benefits.
