What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for leading the strategic implementation of Alliant’s PR and content programs, and informing our content strategy, with direction from the Manager, Member Activation. The incumbent will lead public relations and content activities, including ensuring strategic alignment with business goals; building and maintaining relationships with key publications and influencers; identifying and coordinating proactive PR opportunities; identifying and coaching thought leaders in the organization; creating content experiences based on research, data, personas and product/member journeys; developing blog editorial calendar and blog SEO strategy; managing day-to-day relationship with outside PR firms; informing and implementing social media and content strategy; and reporting on performance of PR and social media efforts.
Daily duties involve managing the relationship with Alliant’s PR firm; fielding media requests; coordinating with internal SMEs; managing social media interactions and campaigns; writing and reviewing content for web, blog, mobile, and emails; influencer-outreach efforts; executing promotions and protecting and promoting the brand online. The incumbent will also be responsible for project management activities, as assigned. The Strategist must be passionate about public relations, content, writing, and digital, and have a keen understanding of Alliant’s value proposition in the marketplace. Resources to do the job require the ability to use data and strategic thinking to pivot PR and content activities based on business goals and identify innovative opportunities to elevate the brand position.
