Seeking a PR Senior Account Executive with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, and 6-7 years of industry experience. Applicants should have proven success in a variety of PR campaign executions, having had a part in every process from brainstorming meetings to recap reports. We’re looking for a strategic storyteller who knows what will pique the media’s interest, as well as what fits within larger integrated marketing goals. Captivating writing skills is a must, as is excellent proactive and reactive media relations know-how. Client work can vary from travel, to men’s interest to pets, so curiosity and the ability to understand new categories is crucial. Main responsibilities will include helping with the development of and managing the execution of campaigns, including drafting plans, writing press materials and pitches, giving input on creative assets, and supervising entry level staff. In addition to excellent leadership skills, creative thinking, a strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail, an understanding of Cision and a proficiency in Excel, Power Point and all social media platforms are required.

  • Manage a variety of logistics and deliverables for campaigns that could involve, contests, events, social influencer partnerships, media relations and more
  • Oversee projects including coordinating individuals from different departments of the agency, managing timelines and budgets, and processing vendor orders, invoices, and payments
  • Craft newsworthy pitching angles, and write print-ready media materials including press releases, media alerts, feature stories and blogs
  • Oversee media coverage reports, and use findings to identify merchandisable insights
  • Build strong media relationships by researching and identifying key contacts, and then provide strong proactive and reactive messages that serve the client’s objectives
  • Develop and present client presentations that create excitement around new ideas, or merchandise the value of past PR efforts
  • Mentor and train entry level staff on PR fundamentals and best practices, like pitch crafting, coverage tracking, measurement, and merchandising the value of results
  • Manage client relationships, and with the help of a Supervisor, anticipate and address client challenges and needs
  • Handle vendor negotiations and planning
  • Ability to travel as necessary based on client needs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • BA/BS degree and at least 6-7 years of relevant PR experience required (agency experience is a must)
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized, with the ability to work on multiple clients simultaneously, all while staying on budget and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to manage projects and oversee entry level staff while maintaining a team-oriented environment
  • A powerful writer that has not only mastered PR/Journalistic best practices and content development, but can communicate creatively while adapting to different tones and audiences
  • Well-spoken with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

Other Competencies:

  • Strong working knowledge of the Cision suite of services, Burrelles and the MS Office Suite of software
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
