Starkey Hearing is adding a Presentation Designer to our Education and Audiology team at the Global Headquarter in Eden Prairie, MN. We are looking for candidates with expert graphic design presentations experience. In this role you would assist the content developers with the design, development, management, and delivery of the on-line programs. The Starkey Education and Audiology Department is the largest provider of on-line continuing education to hearing care providers in the U.S. In addition, our internal training demands are requiring a shift from live classes to more on-line class delivery. This position assists the content developers with the design, development, management, and delivery of the on-line programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop multimedia learning materials as needed for distance and corporate education 
  • Design and develop interactive online learning materials which may include video demonstrations, simulation, and animation to enhance learning 
  • Design educational templates and courses for teaching adult learners at a distance 
  • Work with content developers on the design of on-line teaching materials and templates for adult learners 
  • Coordinate and integrate learning materials with the Learning Management System 
  • Assist and support content developers in the Education Department with course and content management, assessment tool that would be used in the Learning Management System and learning platform

Education:

  • Graduate degree in instructional design, distance education, instructional technology, instructional systems, or closely related field

Knowledge/TechnicalRequirements:

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint including design, animations and troubleshooting if necessary 
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Competencies, Skills and Abilities:

  • Competence in design and reducing complexity of material 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint including animation, video, audio, photography editing capabilities 
  • Competency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate or equivalent e-learning software 
  • Multimedia authoring tool such as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier Pro 
  • An eye for color, composition, brand standards and cohesive design 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

Experience:

  • Instructional computing expertise 
  • Experience in using course/learning management systems, including open source systems 
  • Experience in the private sector, and medical professions desired
