Assist with the expanded operations and delivery of Digital Design functions. Support the increase in demand for design services across Consumer and Business Banking and expanded lines of business (wealth, business/commercial, lending). Partner with internal and external strategy and technology lines of business to lead research and execution for client-facing digital experiences based on client needs, market trends and the latest technology. Your decisions will directly impact client outcomes.

As a Principal Designer, you will:

  • Manage and contribute to digitally focused design and usability projects from beginning to end, as part of the Digital Design team within Digital Delivery.
  • Provide creative input and guidance to the broader team to ensure measured results and continued improvement. 
  • Oversee ongoing design efforts and coordinate with necessary partners, both internal and external, to ensure all aspects of design are progressing and functioning smoothly. 
  • Directs design team in defining and implementing an inspiring, holistic product vision and design strategy to build delightful experiences for our users. 
  • Guides the design team on day-to-day operations of project deliverables, and problem resolution. 
  • Defines and documents UX principles & methodologies, processes, and best practices. 
  • Ensures a holistic experience across our product ecosystem, looking for opportunities to leverage and scale experiences. 
  • Develops and leverages a professional network to foster collaboration across the enterprise, to support company-wide initiatives, and to improve the ability of our organization in resolving issues. 
  • Actively researches and stays abreast of innovations within and outside the industry which could provide opportunities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Design experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: Digital Design, Communication Design, Information Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Motion Design. Required.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years’ experience creating and/or managing designs for an interaction-complex applications, sites, mobile et. al. Required.
