The successful deployment of consumer devices requires continuous assessment of technology and product trends in the industry, needs of the target customer segment, as well as a longer-term business strategy. This position will be responsible for leading the strategic and tactical product management of high priority Device initiatives and maintaining the roadmap for assigned Device categories. The position is accountable for staying abreast of wireless developments in the assigned Device categories and for producing product roadmap and recommendations that allow the company to achieve its business imperatives. The role is also responsible for workingwith the Product Operations team, ensuring the product/service/initiatives operate effectively and efficiently and provide an excellent customer experience with a positive impact on sales and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage aspects of the product lifecycle short and long term strategy, including launch, maintenance, enhancements, partnerships and end of life activities as well as the execution of those related efforts for the roadmap to ensure we have the necessary business requirements and portfolio to meet market and customer needs. 
  • Create product positioning and channel strategies and the related strategy, direction and goals for merchandising, advertising, point of sale and marketing communication efforts, including mechanisms to measure ROI. 
  • Track, analyze and communicate key metrics. I.e. financial, competitive and customer results and take appropriate actions to ensure operational excellence and achieving annual goals. Develop and execute to key financial and business targets/metrics for key products. 
  • Participate on cross functional teams and lead aspects of go to market, launch, maintenance and close-out marketing strategies and programs, including requirements, training, product positioning, and all other marketing activities 
  • Recognized as the Subject Matter Expert for aspects of product/service. 
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the Product Management and Marketing team.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, product development, sales or marketing. 
  • BA/BS Marketing, Business or related disciplines. Technical undergraduate education with business/product management professional experience will be considered. 
  • Advanced experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. 
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries, including strong relationship management skills and working with outside vendors. 
  • Strong team orientation, both internal and external Project management and analytical skills. 
  • Financial analysis, financial root cause investigation and development of solutions/action 
  • Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in marketing programs including but not limited to promotions, marketing communications, point of sale, etc. 
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to analyze issues, develop and deploy solutions within a dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups. 
  • Comfortable presenting up to Senior Director/VP. 
  • Strong time and project schedule management skills required to consistently meet deadlines and ensure preparedness for launch or implementation of products, services or initiatives. 
  • Well organized, strong administrative and detail oriented skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience within the software or telecommunications industry or with a wireless voice/data service provider a plus.
