The Product Marketing Manager must have extensive experience in conducting market research and analysis to develop product vision, strategy and roadmap. This person will conduct market research and analysis of competitive landscape, industry trends, gap analysis, pricing and programs, as well as sales and customer field research to identify growth opportunities and increase return on investment.

The Product Marketing Manager will leverage research to set strategic direction in alignment with overall company goals. They must be a passionate business leader, with a strong will to win, who can apply critical thinking, proven approaches and processes in an agile environment. The Product Marketing Manager will also lead and influence a cross functional team as well as colleagues and leadership within the organization to launch new products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively across the company to nourish the product portfolio that will generate sales and industry leading success. 
  • Conduct market research of competitors, product, pricing, programs, gap and SWOT analysis, in field audits to confirm research, tap into sales and customers for regional insight and capture marketing trends. 
  • Review and utilize internal research and data to monitor, measure and identify current successes and critical opportunities in product, pricing and programs. Is the company expert for up-to-date competitive market information. 
  • Continually evaluate business performance, adjusts plans as required, and identifies opportunities for improvement. 
  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in alignment with company/department goals and objectives. 
  • Establish and maintain accountability and feedback systems to monitor strategies and plans being driven/executed. 
  • Practice exceptional communication with cross functional team members and other team members. 
  • Meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in competitive market research 
  • Experience in the home, building or interior design industry research is a plus 
  • Previous superior analytical, critical thinking and resourceful skills 
  • Proven collaborative leadership skills with experience in managing others 
  • Persuasive presentation skills 
  • Strong process and project management skills 
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties 
  • Practice discretion when discussing production, product roll-out and maintain confidentiality 
  • Innovative, independent, self-starter 
  • Influential skills to gain support and inspire others 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Business, Operations, Engineering, Home Fashion)
  • Experience: 5 - 8 years marketing experience, understanding of the industry
  • Systems: Oracle, Salesforce. CRM, Tableau, various Project Management software
  • Travel Requirements: Willing to travel 30% of the time
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift and transport marketing sample assets weighing 10-30 lb.
