The Life of a Product Marketing Manager:

  • Provide market intelligence on buyers, including but not limited to who they are, how they buy and their purchasing criteria
  • Map the competitive landscape and provide competitive insights as it relates to product promotion and placement
  • Identify and test new and adjacent verticals for potential product and service fit
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing team members to position and message new and existing products
  • Have keen insight and knowledge of the buyer's journey, including but not limited to how they research a product, receive information, and make a purchase
  • Establish and manage cross-functional product launch plans and product repositioning plans from start to finish
  • Assess product campaign effectiveness on an ongoing basis, and report back performance
  • Develop internal and external sales tools including but not limited to competitor and/or product battle cards, product and service guides and brochures
  • Translate product collections to online experiences, ensuring consistency between catalog, ecommerce, and digital marketing channels
  • Craft pitches, blog posts and articles as it relates to company’s product and service offering
  • Manage product promotions as it relates to catalog and the web

This Role is for You if You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in product positioning, market analysis and/or consumer insights
  • Experiencing launching products and services in an e-commerce environment
  • Knowledge of inbound marketing methodologies, search engine optimization, and marketing metrics
  • Working knowledge of a marketing automation platform, HubSpot preferred
  • Experience leveraging web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Trends
  • Exceptional in project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight and competing deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to turn data into action-oriented decisions
  • Excel in written and verbal communications
  • Self-motivated and able to work well both individually and in a highly collaborative environment
