The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for telling the stories that take our products to market, for curating a set of sales enablement assets, and for developing and driving campaign strategies that ensure that products reach revenue goals. The Product Marketing Manager should be a natural storyteller. They should understand the power that narrative has to redefine a category, to highlight where their product is the first, only, biggest, and best, and to convert product features into customer benefits. The Product Marketing Manager will work closely with product management, sales, and the other arms of marketing to ensure that products go to market successfully.

In this role you will:

  • Be a product and market expert 
  • Serve as a champion of our products and customers 
  • Develop messaging that positions our products as important, meaningful, and valuable to our customers and as evidence of our mission and values 
  • Develop messaging using value propositions and value pillars that privilege benefit over feature and that differentiate our products from competitors 
  • Collaborate with other marketing divisions to deliver sales enablement tools and assets that support GTM strategies, including clear positioning, value propositions and pillars, sales decks, demo scripts, product web pages, print & digital collateral, and videos 
  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to develop and execute successful GTM strategies 
  • Drive new and renewal business via national campaigns that tie revenue goals, product strategy, and sales strategy to customer needs and market trends 
  • Partner with other marketing divisions to develop a web, a content, and a social marketing strategy 
  • Respond to regional and local sales needs by effectively partnering with Field Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Customer Success 
  • Drive retention of current customers via effective communication of product updates to existing customers 
  • Work closely with other stakeholders during product life cycle and end of life transitions to drive initiatives, to inform product development and roadmap, and to support customers 
  • Be the voice of the customer 
  • Build and support voice of customer activities that validate messaging, inform and influence roadmap, seed sales 
  • Be an expert on market trends 
  • Be an advocate for marketing and product marketing

Education & Experience:

  • Degree from an accredited four-year college (advanced degree preferred) and, 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing or product management 
  • Experience in education industry preferred 
  • Deep understanding of K-12 market

Bonus points for:

  • Pragmatic or PMA certification preferred but not required 
  • Flexibility navigating a variety of programs and platforms 
  • Virtual meeting software proficiency
