The Product Marketing Senior Lead sits on the Portfolio Marketing team and will collaboratively work with the Channel and Regional Marketing organization balancing the needs of the business units, regional demands, industry trends and marketing best practices to drive compelling launch strategies, product lifecycle content and processes, and clean end of life communications. A close partnership exists between verticals, regions and the product teams.

The purpose of the Product Marketing Senior Lead is to lead development of a product marketing strategy for a segment of the portfolio and execute against that strategy through vertical, field and channel marketing resources while building and maintaining a marketing competitive advantage in region. Working with a cross-functional team, the incumbent will develop position, and message go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and competitive analysis. Additional responsibilities will include strategic planning, provide valuable input regarding the market and engage in product management functions for the product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as marketing's single point of contact for a portion of the company's overall portfolio in region to various stakeholders - internal and external 
  • Own product reinvigorate, refresh and retire programs, working in alignment with marketing leads based on quarterly business results. 
  • Accountable for very selective activation of global product marketing sourced content in marquee horizontal media outlets & events and targeted activation of inbound digital (SEO/SEM) campaigns for premier products to the regional P&L 
  • Drive sales enablement and demand creation programs 
  • Monitor and drive organizational response to competitors' marketing campaigns, messaging, etc. 
  • Lead regional marketing participation on product launch calls (global and regional) to ensure GTM readiness from a marketing perspective 
  • Lead promotional, incentive and rebate strategy in region as part of a holistic GTM plan to accelerate pipeline for the portfolio

Key skills and competencies:

  • BA/BS degree in relatable field 
  • 8+ years of product marketing and/or comparable product management, development experience 
  • Influence/Negotiation/Partnership skills with product teams 
  • Drive results and execute through a virtual team
  • Ability to thrive in matrixed organization environment 
  • Ability to technically understand how products fit in order to create and deliver a solution 
  • Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrated whole lifecycle product marketing experience, from NPI to EOL 
  • Understanding of holistic go-to-market readiness, especially readiness of different channels 
  • Competitive analysis, with a focus on neutralizing and responding to marketing tactics in region 
  • Demonstrated willingness to actively participate with vertical marketing teams
