Production Designer

The Production Designer will be part of the in-house design team, working collaboratively on new and existing design resources for multiple brands. In this role, you will develop and manage product layout and typesetting, honoring each brand’s intent, while creating press/digital ready files sufficient for final distribution.

The Production Designer will:

• Work with product development, marketing, and the design team to understand creative intent and to best implement that creative intent across a wide range of deliverables. 
• Strongly understand typography hierarchy and layout design. 
• Pay high attention to detail – ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency for all deliverables. 
• Implement, streamline, and maintain processes and procedures to increase the productivity and the quality of creative deliverables. 
• Own production workflows, including pre-flight and preparing final artwork for print. 
• Upload, review, and approve print proofs for accuracy and quality. 
• Maintain brand standards and ensure products are produced at the highest standards. 
• Help research and manage illustrators for projects in development.

Required education, skills, and experience:

• A.A./B.A. in Graphic Design or related field 
• 3-5 years of experience in design or publishing 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 
• Experience working with project management software 
• Strong project management skills, deadline-driven, and ability to multitask 
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
