Production Designer

Extensive sales growth and product line expansion has created additional openings in IRIS USA’s Creative Department. IRIS USA, a leading mid-size manufacturer of consumer home and office plastic, housewares, LED lights, wire, and pet products, has need for a Production Designer.

• Candidates will utilize in-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as MS Office.
• Majority of tasks will be production based; labels, catalog layout, instruction sheets, carton/box art and other related projects.
• Artist will have a strong understanding of composition, layout, color and type, as well as confidence in following spec sheets, understanding brand standards, excellent color correction; image retouching and manipulation skills, cleaning up layouts, creating style sheets, prepping files for print, proofreading, and pre-flighting.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Communication Arts, Graphic Design or Fine Arts.
• Solid planning, communication and organizational skills are a must, as well as ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Viable candidates must be Mac OSX savvy.
