The Production Designer has a combination of creative and technical skills and provides the link between the conceptual design and the tangible result.In addition to a combination of design and technical skills, the Production Designer role requires organization, accuracy, and ability to work quickly but remain extremely detail oriented, as tasks are often highly reactive.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work on several projects simultaneously, while keeping good communication with designers, management, and outside vendors 
  • Edit, update, and archive design files 
  • Suggest improvements and modify formats to increase the quality of production and ensure that standards are met 
  • Perform preflight formatting Collect, process, check, and upload files 
  • Assist in the customization of print and digital deliverables via the FusionPro process.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a strong foundation in graphic design, including typography and layout skills, and a solid understanding of conventional and digital printing processes and guidelines. 
  • Is proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Workfront; FusionPro; and EasyCatalog or equivalent process knowledge 
  • Has knowledge in creating automated workflows to create efficiency for cyclical projects and processes Is comfortable adhering to a corporate brand style guide, wireframes, and preset design parameters 
  • Has experience working with the nuances of legal disclosure in marketing 
  • Has experience with a corporate in-house design team

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience:

  • 3-5 years plus of professional experience in production design and marketing, specifically fixing/improving processes, editing and finalizing designs 
  • Highly developed skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) along with a solid understanding of print and digital best practices 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects daily that are at different stages of approval, while remaining extremely detail oriented 
  • Knowledge in creating automated workflows to create more efficiency for cyclical projects and processes 
  • A portfolio with print experience that displays a clean design aesthetic
