Position Summary:

Do you get excited about building member enthusiasm and loyalty to a brand? Are you passionate about fostering enduring member connections that become positively infectious? Have you built a member program from scratch?

The Program Manager, Member Engagement is responsible for inspiring member engagement, retention, and advocacy. Define and execute an engagement strategy designed to build trust, reinforce the value of USCCA membership, and encourage future investment of our members. Partner with multiple departments across the organization to develop digital touch points and in-person events that drive strong member engagement and retention. Lead the effort to leverage our utilization of social media and USCCA brand ambassadors to engage, educate, and inspire our members.


  • Plan, design, and execute an overarching engagement and connection strategy to maximize member retention.
  • Develop and test effective campaigns for onboarding new members, renewing existing members, and saving at-risk members.
  • Perform target audience research and execute data-driven audience segmentation. Ensure our retention programs are effective across a broad range of members.
  • Utilize data to ideate and test new opportunities to drive member engagement.
  • Collaborate with sales and retail marketing teams to leverage our ever-expanding network of partners by creating in-person events that drive member connection and loyalty.
  • Use the USCCA platform and public social media tools to engage, connect and learn from our members.
  • Leverage data to drive sales, marketing and retention.
  • Partner with the Entertainment and Influencers team to create unforgettable opportunities for USCCA members that strengthen engagement.
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Skills/Abilities, Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in a marketing role.
  • History of driving customer engagement with experience across a variety of marketing channels including email, SMS, web, print, and events.
  • Strong understanding of consumer psychology associated with demographics and behavioral variables that correlate to member engagement, commitment, and brand advocacy.
  • Deep understanding of how to maximize consumer engagement with effective membership offerings.
  • Experience with and desire to dive into data and analytics to deepen knowledge of member needs, wants, and expectations. Able to identify causation and create opportunities for increased member engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Familiarity with data and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, SQL, or Tableau.
  • Business to consumer copywriting experience preferred.
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships and influence stakeholders across departments.
