Position Details

Project Manager
Twin Cities Metro
Minneapolis, MN

As a Project Manager at Clutch, you are the central hub for the workflow on all projects. You will work closely with client account managers and internal teams, external vendors/freelancers and clients to ensure the successful delivery of a variety of projects across consulting, sales and marketing (traditional, digital, etc.) and learning and development disciplines. You will manage projects and be responsible for their success related to timeline, budget and scope while meeting business requirements and delivering on the core strategy. You must be proactive with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to stay meticulously organized and keep projects moving forward.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Project Planning

  • Facilitate project opening process, ensuring all project platforms are set up appropriately. 
  • Work with client account leads to define project scope and deliverables and develop comprehensive estimates and SOWs, timelines and budgets. 
  • Build integrated teams by identifying resources, internal and external, needed to successfully accomplish a project. 
  • Develop, implement and manage project plans from the onset of the project through execution. 

Project Execution

  • Communicate full project plan in the project kick off with clearly defined deliverables, team member responsibilities, and project milestones/timeline. 
  • Schedule and facilitate creative kick off, internal reviews, project status and client reviews. Manage project timeline and work with internal team members to ensure all project milestones are delivered on time. 
  • Update and/or create a new plan (deliverables, resources, timeline, budget) to address project issues or shifts. 
  • Manage job costs throughout the life of the project, proactively monitoring expenses and work with account leads to achieve job profitability targets. 

Project Closing

  • Ensure all project invoices are received and correspond to the appropriate billing schedule. Execute project closing process.

Ideal Candidate:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree.
  • You have 5+ years of project management experience in the marketing/advertising and/or agency realm.
  • You bring experience and expertise in managing large digital projects.
  • You always have a plan.
  • You think ahead and analyze possibilities.
  • You’re obsessed with how to get things done as efficiently and accurately as possible.
  • You always maintain a to-do list.
  • You’re savvy at creating action out of ambiguity.
  • You have a natural sense of urgency and work well under pressure.
  • You’re empathetic in nature and a fantastic oral and written communicator.
  • You know that perfection isn’t ever attainable, but excellence is often found with its pursuit.
  • You have an interest in a start-up, small company culture and desire to grow both personally and with the business.
