Position Details

Project Manager
Southwest Wisconsin
Madison, WI

We’re looking for someone to join our team who’s inherently organized, committed to meeting  deadlines, and thinks strategically and creatively. The primary function as project manager is to work together across the agency to ensure projects get done on time, run smoothly and are clearly communicated to internal teams and clients.

You’ll need to be a effective communicator (written and verbal), self-motivated, digitally savvy and clearly understand and be able to build production timelines for a variety of projects, ranging from website development to multi-channel marketing and communication campaigns.

Additionally, as part of a small, productive team, we’ll want you to participate in brainstorms, not be afraid to share ideas and push and challenge the rest of the team (it’s how we get the best work done). If you have creative chops, especially on the writing front, that’s a bonus. We all have our areas of focus at Sunday Paper, but we thrive when ideas come from everyone.


  • Develop project timelines and workflows, using
  • Keep creative and strategic team members on track and accountable
  • Participates in client meetings and moves projects and new assignments forward with timely updates, to-dos and next steps
  • Handles portion of client communications; specifically, day-to-day needs that move projects forward 
  • Ensure internal, external & clients are meeting deadlines and delivering on time 
  • Participates in creative and strategic brainstorms and concepting
  • Assists as needed with basic media planning needs (trafficking creative, vendor communications, etc.)
  • Assists with project and client research
  • Assists with presentation development for existing clients and prospects
  • Assist with developing Sunday Paper social media content and short-form content for clients (NOT REQUIRED BUT A BONUS)
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • 1-2 years agency or project management experience
  • Critical thinker
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred, but we’re more interested in finding the right person)
  • Self-motivated
  • Effective communicator(written and verbal)
