Promotions Assistant

WKOW has a rare opportunity for a creative individual to work on our Midday Madison lifestyle show. The successful candidate will have solid writing skills, be well versed in social media and work well under deadline. They must also have strong communication skills, an understanding of show timing and the ability to work with sales on sponsored content. This candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively and be a detail-oriented self-starter who can work as part of a dynamic team.

This person must have excellent organization and communication skills; be able to help the show host set up interviews, gather information on guests, post interviews on all digital platforms, interact with viewers and interviewees, assist with daily production, help plan and execute video shoots, attend community events and perform other projects as assigned.  This position is flexible part time 16 hours a week.

Candidates must be well versed in the use of social media, and mobile and web content for promotional and marketing purposes. Must be able to work quickly and handle multiple projects. The preferred candidate will have a college degree and experience in advertising, marketing and/or communications. Editing and shooting skills are a plus.
