In this role you will assist with proposal generation, content creation, and marketing initiatives. You will work with senior team members and collaborate with project teams to develop statement of qualifications and proposals from start to finish. This will include coordinating, organizing, writing, and gathering content, graphics, and relevant information on key personnel, projects, and consultants to ensure the final proposal submission is high quality and submitted on time.
Additionally, the proposal writer / marketing specialist will assist with additional marketing tasks and writing assignments as needed. There is plenty of opportunity to build a strong foundation of skills in research, writing, and proposal management — all while learning about the A/E/C industry. Our work is fast-paced and team focused. The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment and be committed to working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
This position has a hybrid work schedule allowing some remote (from home) work with some in-office work required.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the development, writing, editing, layout, and production of responses to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFPs). Taking both a creative and process-oriented approach, you will help the Senior Marketing Specialists coordinate our firm's responses ensuring content is accurate, engaging, comprehensive, competitive, client-specific, and compliant with RFQ/RFP requirements.
- Aid in the scheduling, production, and delivery of marketing materials with hard deadlines.
- Create accurate and engaging written content for proposals materials.
- Interview internal team members to draw out information on project attributes and statistics. Edit materials prepared by team members to ensure consistency with firm brand message.
- Develop and maintain various marketing pieces, including project descriptions, boilerplate materials, and staff resumes.
- Assist the Senior Marketing Specialists with award submittals, promotional materials, and project photoshoots.
- Perform multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines.
- An estimated allocation of time for this role's responsibilities is as follows: 90 percent proposal writing and preparation and 10 percent marketing material development and maintenance.
