Public Communications Inc. (PCI) seeks an experienced and passionate account executive who wants to make a substantial contribution to our agency in the Nonprofit/Business/Government sector. This individual will manage high-profile accounts and projects for non-profit and for-profit organizations and governmental bodies. This is a public relations position, not a sales executive position.

In this role, you will:

  • Play a critical role in communications programs, helping clients navigate a constantly shifting landscape to advance their marketing, communications and public relations initiatives and meet their business objectives. 
  • Identify newsworthy opportunities to share client stories; and craft compelling materials that can be used by clients through a variety of channels to elevate their storytelling. 
  • Commit to continual learning and improvement of leadership skills by participating in professional development and setting and exceeding annual goals. 
  • Earn the respect of our clients by delivering smart, creative and pragmatic solutions while collaborating with our team of senior counselors and leading a team of communications strategists to drive successful results.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related coursework. Advanced degree/coursework welcome. 
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional public relations or communications experience. 
  • Previous experience working in-house in corporate communications, at a nonprofit organization, in government or at a public relations agency. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in national media relations to drive earned placements. 
  • Understand social media and digital communications, including how to integrate these tactics with earned media campaigns.

  • Passionate, dedicated learner who seeks information and knowledge by which to grow and advance your communications practice. 
  • Continually expanding your strategic thinking, including finding new approaches and creative ways to share client stories to reach patients, providers, payers and other key audiences, while staying on top of the latest industry trends.

Working conditions:

Day-to-day work is currently performed virtually but may require work in our offices or onsite client visits. This is a full-time position. May require some weekend and evening work.
