The Creative Company is a public relations and marketing agency in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. We help companies and non-profit organizations when they are building, growing, or changing. What you'll find at the agency, is essentially what you'll find in a marketing department, a team of highly motivated and talented communications professionals who work well together to get results for clients. We represent multiple disciplines from web design and development to art direction and PR. We're moving into a new building in May of 2021 which will also include an in-house video, podcasting, and photography studio. Creative Company team members will also have access to the exercise room, a rooftop garden, and more all close to the Kohl Center and downtown Madison.

Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Being the day-to-day PR project lead with internal team members, clients, and other agency partners
  • Writing and executing public relations and advocacy plans for clients
  • Project management/workflow system data entry and reporting
  • Monitoring and evaluation of client and/or competitor media landscape including issues monitoring, support the development of earned media reports
  • Contributes to the development and presentation of new business programs for potential and existing clients.
  • Providing media training for clients
  • Organizing and leading webinars on public relations and advocacy issues
  • Managing multiple projects supporting others on the team such as copywriting for websites and digital advertising copy
  • Writing and production of mini-documentaries, a significant milestone video, and short videos for social media and websites
  • Creating social media, blog content, and e-mail marketing content. Making email campaigns, monitoring results, and growing results from those campaigns

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to make news happen for clients
  • 4 or more years as a public relations practitioner, reporter, or news producer
  • Ability to write clear, concise copy that moves people to action
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a budget
  • Willingness to experiment with new tactics, measure, learn and improve, quickly
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans in a multiple-priority environment
  • Capacity to remain calm, thoroughly evaluate situations, and create response plans under pressure
  • A dynamic personality, with the skill to evoke excitement and enthusiasm in others, is essential
  • Crisis PR training helpful but not required
  • An understanding of the PRSA Code of Ethics

Salary is dependent upon experience.
