Public Relations Intern, Healthcare Sector

Public Communications Inc. (PCI) seeks an intern who wants to make a substantial contribution to our agency in the Healthcare Sector. This is a four-month, full-time, hourly position with an opportunity for long-term hire. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent to apply.

In this role, you will:

  • Play a critical role in communications programs for clients in our Healthcare Sector, helping clients navigate a constantly shifting landscape to advance their marketing, communications and public relations initiatives and meet their business objectives. 
  • Identify newsworthy opportunities to share client stories; and craft compelling materials that can be used by clients through a variety of channels to elevate their storytelling. 
  • Commit to continual learning by participating in professional development. 
  • Earn the respect of our clients by delivering smart, creative and pragmatic solutions while collaborating with our team of senior to drive successful results.
  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related coursework. 
  • Experience working with healthcare clients/organizations. 
  • Previous agency internships and media pitching experience preferred. 
  • Experience and success securing coverage with national, major market and online consumer and trade media. 
  • Understand social media and digital communications, including how to integrate these tactics for campaigns.
