As a PR Intern, you'll support the team on a variety of accounts and projects by providing tactical support to help generate press coverage and increase our clients’ brand awareness. You’ll get exposure to a wide variety of consumer and B2B clients, becoming an expert on a multitude of industries and processes. Regular assignments will include pitching reporters, tracking media activity, conducting industry research projects, and creating compelling written content for a variety of audiences.

Daily activities will include:

  • Media Outreach: Write and distribute creative pitches to reporters; assist with drafting and pitching media alerts/press releases
  • Media Research: Conduct various media and influencer identification research projects
  • Media Tracking: Monitor incoming media placements using CISION, Google News, etc; develop news summaries and recap reports based on findings

  • Other PR and office activities as assigned

We're open to a wide range of communications-based experience, but here are some qualifying guidelines:

  • College student or recent grad with a focus in communications or other related field (public relations, advertising, journalism, etc).
  • Ability to work 15-25 hours per week, with flexibility around exams, for the duration of the fall semester (August - December) and the potential to extend into May of 2024.
  • Ability to work at least two days in-office per week.
  • Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required.
  • You have very strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adjust tone based on audience.
  • You are comfortable contributing new ideas and following through on them with the support of your team members.
  • You have an action-oriented default setting and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • You can navigate a fluid, autonomous professional environment due to your excellent organizational and time management skills.

We offer a great hourly rate and a flexible schedule to be determined in collaboration with the candidate.

  • Pay: $17/hour
