Position Summary:

As a Public Relations Supervisor you serve as the day-to-day public relations lead for one or more clients. You strategically anticipate client needs and proactively move to meet them with internal and external teams. You have an aptitude and passion for media relations, influencer engagement, content creation and experiential activations. You have a proven ability to absorb client, brand and product knowledge, quickly becoming an extension of your client teams. You efficiently supervise and mentor PR team members working with you across clients and manage direct reports, and your exceptional coordination and cross-discipline communications makes you valuable to every account and team you touch.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic and tactical ideation and implementation in partnership with account service, creative and engage teammates. 
  • Implements and leads lead day-to-day PR programming across all PR-driven channels and activities for assigned clients. 
  • Advocates for client, leading the PR strategy in all assigned work including, but not limited to, media relations, influencer relations, brand partnerships, content creation, executive visibility and thought leadership, content strategies, and experiential activations based on client need. 
  • A passion for understanding brand narratives; dives deep into client, brand and product research to develop technical content for higher level, high visibility activities such as client leadership speeches and blog posts, brand sales materials, web content, detailers and white papers, as directed by client needs. 
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to manage PR project estimates, financial forecasts and staffing needs, as directed by Associate PR Director and/or SVP, Public Relations. 
  • Leads, manages and inspires direct reports and PR teams, ensuring ongoing conversations on performance path and real-time coaching. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time to meet the changing needs of the agency.

Education + Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in business, communications, advertising, marketing or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible public relations agency, integrated agency or related experience, including people management preferred. 
  • Agriculture or other B2B experience strongly preferred.
