Primary Duties:

The Retail Graphic Designer is responsible for the production of both print and digital collateral supporting in-store and direct to customer marketing and merchandising initiatives. This position is responsible for creating marketing operates in a fast-paced environment and requires accurate and timely execution of the stores’ visual communications and advertising. This position works alongside another Retail Graphic Designer, reporting to the Senior Retail Graphic Designer within a larger Creative Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & produce marketing materials including printed in store marking and pricing signage, merchandising display graphics, flyers, ads, mailed pieces, e-blasts/social media assets, and internal documents. 
  • Collaboratively conceptualize, develop, and execute quality designs for various Retail marketing initiatives and campaigns involving traditional and digital media. 
  • Maintain design consistency and style across varying media and specs to uphold company brand standards and positioning within the marketplace. 
  • Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards related to effective, competitive retail design. 
  • Work cross functionally with merchandise, buying, operations, sales, and store development teams to translate key messages and plans to the retail store locations. 
  • Drives design assignments with partners to ensure timely delivery of assets; welcomes design critique and consistently iterates based on feedback. 
  • Maintains and optimizes design templates as needed.

Skills:

  • Highly skilled in Adobe CC software on a Mac platform – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop 
  • Proficiency in print and digital graphic design principles; specs, typography, color, layout, and composition 
  • Knowledge of digital file management, pre-press and print procedures 
  • Photo editing skills preferred 
  • Detail oriented, excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, to maximize efforts and efficiency for all partners. 
  • Versed at handling multiple projects, knowing when/how to prioritize 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate on a cross-functional team 
  • Skilled at identifying problems and devising solutions 
  • Microsoft Office skills required, particularly Excel and Word

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or Art-related field required. 
  • 2-4 years previous work experience in design field, preferably in marketing or communications industry 
  • Ability to provide portfolio of design work demonstrating skills outlined above 
  • Interest in or knowledge of the arts, art education, or art materials a plus
