The Equitable Bank’s history started over 100 years ago, when a hard-working German immigrant, fled the Chicago fire and came to Milwaukee looking for work. In 1878, Charles Pittelkow started his own insurance business with the focus of helping fellow immigrants buy homes. People brought their savings to “Honest Uncle Charlie,” as he was known, for safekeeping until they saved enough to buy steamship tickets to bring their loved ones to America. In turn, the money deposited allowed Charlie to provide mortgage loans so people could realize the dream of owning their own home. Equitable continued to be a family run business for many years. In the mid-nineteen twenties, Charles’s son R.J. became president, expanded the lending portion of the business and on May 24, 1927, The Equitable Savings Building and Loan Association was formed. In 1941 Robert C. Pittelkow, son of R.J., became president. Then in 1982, Robert’s son Charles R. Pittelkow succeeded him as president. Charles remains the Vice Chairman of the Board today. In December of 2002, John Matter became President and Chief Operating Officer and was promoted again in 2004 to Chief Executive Officer. In 2019, Matter added the title of Chairman of the Board, as well as, CEO and Jennifer Provancher was promoted to President and Chief Financial Officer.

The Equitable Bank is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing professional to join our Marketing Department located at our Corporate Office at 2290 North Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.

This is a full-time hourly position, scheduled Monday - Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

While reporting to the AVP - Bank Operations, this position's primary role is to provide support for the Residential Mortgage, Commercial Sales and Marketing teams of The Equitable Bank. The selected candidate will serve in a key role of helping facilitate sales opportunities utilizing the skills they bring to the position along with current Bank processes.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Administrator for both the Vantage/Platinum Marketing Campaigns and the Bank’s Contact Management System and other relevant systems.
  • Assist in the administration and execution of marketing campaigns for each of the sales teams.
  • Database management of LOS customer and COI lists
  • Monitor and assign online applications to appropriate sales team member
  • Agenda administrator for Product and Pricing, Commercial Sales, and Mortgage Loan Officer meetings
  • Understand mortgage products to assist LO Officers in application process when needed
  • Primary contact for mortgage rates and online applications
  • Support the Commercial Loan Processor Manage Bank’s social media profiles and presence along with the Bank’s intranet
  • Assist team in advertising, Bank events and compliance of Marketing materials

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent writing, analytical, creative thinking and communication skills
  • Strong independent worker with an attention to detail
  • General knowledge of banking
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects as they arise
  • BA degree or equivalent work experience
