Green Bay Packaging, Inc. - Baird Display Divison is currently seeking a self motivated Sales Manager that can manage sales of the division's products; ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

We are currently seeking a self motivated Sales Manager that can manage sales of the division's products; ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborates with General Manager in establishing the annual sales and profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for division; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Implements sales programs by developing field sales action plans. 
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, and competitors.
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training & developing employees. Maintains sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Active and accountable member of divisional management team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ten years of experience in a manufacturing setting;preferably
  • Minimum of five years of successful sales experience for a manufacturer; graphics, packaging and/or corrugated manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably a Business degree with either a Marketing/Communications or Accounting major 
  • Excellent Communicator – both verbal and written Communication skills in which the person is comfortable communicating with executives and hourly alike
  • Sales Management experience;proven abilities to teach sales
  • People sales skills.
  • Ability to manage employee performance.
  • Financial Strength understanding how to read and utilize a Profit & Loss statement;understanding contribution & making money for the division.
  • Market knowledge of POS Display industry a major plus.
  • Must be a Self-Starter - great energy and attitude. Self-motivated.
  • Negotiator skills being able to close deals that are right for the company.
  • Ability to work directing a team of Sales and Customer Service individuals.
  • Willingness to be hands on, accessible and accountable as part of the Management
  • Team Team player who is positive and can motivate the team – puts the goals of the team over individual goals
  • Sees / understands the long term growth opportunities and is trustworthy
  • Confident but not cocky;assured but not arrogant.
